Every month Showtime blesses numerous viewers everywhere with exceptional titles to stream, many of which are often not available on other platforms. This December, Showtime's usual host of documentaries, thrillers, dramas, comedies, and more are joined by none other than Christmas movies–and, oh boy, are there quite a few of them. To many, relaxing with a great holiday movie among friends and family can be a crucial tradition. Getting cozy by a roaring fire while snow falls in these early Winter nights does nothing if not create the perfect setting for festive films to be enjoyed (with or without eggnog; you do you).

If that's not quite your thing, Showtime still offers a hefty load of new titles newly available to stream this month. Great films such as Forrest Gump, Contagion, Cape Fear, and more are all arriving on the streaming platform this month and are bound to provide just as wonderful of a viewing experience.

3 Raunchy Christmas Movies to (not) Watch with the Family:

  1. Bad Santa: Possibly the best example of provocative Christmas movies that has ever defiled the silver screen, Bad Santa is a film with a truly fitting title. The talented Billy Bob Thornton portrays a foul-mouthed mall Santa with a penchant for robbery who falls under the spell of the Christmas spirit when he befriends a young boy. As the duo undergo a transformation from naughty to nice, the holiday hijinks they take part in keep the laughs coming.
  2. Matt Rogers: Have You Heard of Christmas?: Many holiday movies have fallen under the musical genre's banner, but Matt Rogers: Have You Heard of Christmas? does this with a characteristically edgy take. This Showtime-exclusive holiday special includes stand-up comedy, musical numbers, and skits that collectively portray a message of something between ambivalence and outright disgust for Christmas. As Rogers tries his absolute best to be crowned the "Pop Prince of Christmas," the sarcastic tone and darkly hilarious message add a very particular charm to the piece.
  3. Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie's Island Adventure: National Lampoon movies have always been... different. Cousin Eddie's (Randy Quaid) solo Christmas film is no different. This tropical tale of the ever-dodgy family man's holiday adventure is a distinct departure from the previous film's themes: the trials and tribulations that come with trying to execute the perfect family Christmas. Whereas the first entry includes classic gags like over-cooked turkeys and an increasingly dysfunctional family, Cousin Eddie's Island Adventure branches out with its inclusion of rabid monkeys and lawsuits. If you're looking for a less-than-typical Christmas movie, it could just be worth a watch.
